acbty (Always coming back to you) präsentiert in den nächsten Wochen vier interessante Konzerte mit internationalen Künstler*innen im Saal der Eigelsteintorburg.
In Zusammenarbeit mit der OJHS und dem neu eröffneten Café Oté (wo das offizielle Vor- und Nachglühen stattfindet) werden folgende Acts/Termine angekündigt:

- Trash & Post Chaotic Music: “Sigmund Jähns Reise zu den Sternen”. Die Erkundungstouren von T.P.C.M. führen das 14 köpfige Ensemble diesmal durch die weite Welt der Science-Fiction der 50er und 60er Jahre.
- Vor dem Konzert: Filmpremiere "Die DDR hat es nie gegeben” (18:00 Uhr @Oté) - Was bleibt von einem Land, welches es nicht mehr gibt? Weit nach der Wende geboren, begibt sich Victor Gelling mit Sensibilität und Witz auf der Suche nach Antworten auf diese Frage.

- As two voices pushing the standards of accepted feminine vocal spectrum in very different ways, Nadah El Shazly and Elvin Brandhi are colliding to investigate what a postmodern opera would sound like. In choosing to collaborate with a cacophony carbon orchestra, as an omnipresence feature, we embrace dissonance, and look into poetic ways of re-establishing intimacy. We perform ballads on motor bikes, tragedies in the market, sacrifice by the fish smoking huts...Our futurist mythology unfolds in limbo, a timeless vacuum of hope and dread. Fascinated by the transformative, triggering capacities of sound: textures, melody, rhythm, that provoke the subject to vociferate and gesticulate in unpredictable ways, in this sense, composing not songs but spells.

- Yuko Araki is one of a number of young female artists emerging from Japan that are redefining the outer boundaries of noise, post-industrial techno and experimental electronics. Raised as a pianist, Araki’s teenage obsession with metal opened a gateway towards various types of intense sonics. Exploring a range of diverse music projects over the past decade. As a percussive/non-percussive counter design, Elisa Metz will play her glockenspiel-like glass instrument "Nine Wands", which she developed and built in 2020 from found objects from a glassworks and supplemented with effects and modular synthesiser.
Die leidenschaftlich kuratierte Konzertreihe acbty, 2008 in Köln gestartet, zählt mittlerweile über 400 Konzerte. acbty leistet wichtige Arbeit für internationale Künstler*innen im Spannungsfeld zwischen Experimenteller Musik und Pop. Die inhaltliche Ausrichtung richtet sich nicht an aktuellen Trends und bietet auch Musiker*innen, die Möglichkeit aufzutreten, bei denen die Wirtschaftlichkeit des Konzerts kaum gegeben ist. Bei der Auswahl des Programms wird rein intuitiv und durch den eigenen Antrieb und der Euphorie an der Entdeckung neuer Musik entschieden.
Alle acbty Konzerte in der Eigelsteintorburg werden durch unsere Freunde von Oté (Eigelstein 122) gastronomisch begleitet. Getränke können dort bestellt und zum Konzert mitgebracht werden. Alle Gäste sind ebenso eingeladen, nach dem Konzert dort bei einem gemeinsamen Getränk zu verweilen.
